Fogo Island

These are some photographs from two trips to Fogo Island in May 2011. Fogo Island is reached via a short ferry ride from Farewell. Fogo Island is a mix of the old, traditional homes and fishing stages, and the new, the studios of the Fogo Island Arts Corporation and the luxury 5 star hotel under construction. The town of Tilting is a Provincial Heritage District and National Historic Site of Canada.
