La Manche Village Path

La Manche Village Path goes from Tors Cove to La Manche. These photographs are from a couple of different hikes, one from Tors Cove to Bauline East and another walking north from La Manche. The photographs are sorted in order going south but start with a couple of images from Tinker Point Path at The Cribbies. The village of La Manche was abandoned in 1961 after a severe winter storm tide washed away all the flakes, boats, anchors and stores of La Manche as well as the suspension bridge which connected both sides of the harbour. Most of the houses were demolished.
